OUR TEAM
From the beginning, it took a look of team work to create Landmark Nephrology. In addition to our dynamic group of founders, the support from the Renal Fellow Network and NSMC communities really made this project be what it is today. We also count on financial and institutional support from Dr. Bud Rose’s Family and the BIDMC Nephrology department.
Dr. Nikhil Agrawal
Founder
Nikhil is a practicing nephrologist and clinical researcher at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School. His keen interest in evidence based medicine and historical evolution of practice of nephrology led to the idea of Landmark Nephrology. He hopes that landmark nephrology will continue to educate and inspire the folks working hard to make life better for patients with kidney disease.
Dr. Diana Mahbod
Founder
Diana is a practicing nephrologist with Dallas Renal Group in Dallas, Texas and co-founded Landmark Nephrology during fellowship at University of California at San Francisco. She is interested in utilizing social media and other online resources to maintain networking and collaboration with nephrology colleagues worldwide while providing the best clinical care to her patients locally
Dr. Neil Roy
Founder
Neil completed his medical school training in India and works as a research fellow at the Joslin Diabetes Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is an aspiring nephrologist and also has a keen interest in clinical research and medical education.
Dr. Stewart Lecker
Founder
Stewart is the Program Director at the BIDMC Nephrology Fellowship and is a leader in the nephrology education community. He serves on a number of committees and subcommittees at ASN and is a strong advocate for fellow lead education projects, Landmark being one of many! He has been a faculty leader form the inception of this project and continues to provide support and vision to this ever-growing website.
Dr. Larissa Kruger Gomes
Fellow Editor
Larissa is a second-year nephrology fellow at BIDMC. She is passionate about education specially when new medias are involved. She is the current fellow lead at Landmark Nephrology and has led the updates on its format and content. She is part of the NSMC class of 2019.
Dr. Dearbhla Kelly
Fellow Editor at RFN
Dearbhla is a nephrology fellow at Oxford in England and is interested in all thinks nephron neuron. She acts as a liaison between RFN and Landmark Nephrology and is responsible for making sure our content is updated and relevant to renal community
Dr. Melanie Hoenig
Faculty Leadership
Melanie is one of the leaders in education at HMS and spearheads the Homeostasis 2 course there. She brings to Landmark her fierce content and context expertise, educational support and her keen eye to detail.
Dr. Samira Farouk
Faculty Leadership
Samira is a nephrologist at Mount Sinai in New York City. She was instrumental since Landmark’s early days as she helped our founders review and edit our very first posts. She has also been pivotal in sharing Landmark Nephrology message through RFN.
Dr. Jeffrey William
Faculty Leadership
Jeff is a nephrologist and medical educator at the BIDMC and Harvard Medical School. He is a key faculty member and has helped conceptualize Landmark’s new design and interactive curriculum.
Dr. Matthew Sparks
Faculty Leadership
Matt is the program director for the nephrology fellowship at Duke University. He is a partner and mentor of Landmark since its beginnings and has continues to provide support and guide the website’s further development.
